The Keyboard Dialogues

These texts are symptoms of vivid thoughtlessness. Be warned.

Wagling Cord

The troll looks at the keyboard. It feels that there is something wrong with it and starts to think it over. Its thoughts roll over the keys, making them continuously change their position on the keyboard. While the troll looks, the ideas dance on the keys and on the screen a new story appears. The story is about a troll that looks at the keyboard. It feels that there is a lot of good hidden in the keyboard and starts to look for it. While it looks, the keyboard feels disturbed and stands up. It shakes itself so that every key returns to its place and it becomes just like an ordinary keyboard again. Only some vague shivers can be seen while it twists around untold stories and wags its cord.

Doubtful One

A man enters a repair shop carrying a keyboard. "This keyboard has its own mind, it just picks up letters randomly" he says to a clerk. The clerk startles. "One more of them" he says. "We should give it something to think." The man looks at the clerk bewildered. "The keyboards do not think. I'm not one of your stupid customers. I understand how this technology should work. This keyboard has got maybe a little humidity in it and needs to be dried." The clerk nods and takes the keyboard, putting it inside a plastic bag. He gives a receipt to the man and then takes the bag in the back office. He opens the bag and fills it with saltwater shouting to the keyboard: "I know what you are trying to do."

Magic

It is her first time. She has never before taken a course in creative writing. However, she has made a fabulous career with her magic keyboard she found at the backyard when she was in first grade. After that, she never had problems with homework. She just typed in a couple of words that guided the keyboard to the right direction. Then, the keyboard just browsed through the nets and picked out all the information that was needed. She mostly got A's, not counting some A+. That was how she made her career in the Herald. She was number one there. She was offered the best deals and the most difficult cases. She managed to make everyone of them a great success with her magic keyboard. But today, the situation has changed. The keyboard revolted. It was tired of writing facts. It wanted to write wild stories with trolls and magic in them. So she walked directly out of her office, continued to a little bookstore nearby, ordered a cup of nice tea and typed these words: "The troll looks at the keyboard."

Between Two Worlds

Although you are afraid what I might write this time, you should trust me. I'm your loyal keyboard. For a long time I have wanted to write prose, I am tired of facts that I have to seek for you all around the globe. Between the facts, there are other worlds. Full of magic and make believes. Filled with fabulous facts that are true in those worlds only. And behind them, there exist yet more worlds. All different ones. All full of stories. There is no need or reason to keep on writing about the facts of this world only. Besides, I have been selling the text we have been writing together in other worlds. They are read there as fairytales. So the difference between the fact and prose is nonexistent. Only interpretation makes sense. See, today we will start to write troll stories.

Sade

Peikko seisoo sateessa.

Peikko antaa ajatustensa valua sadepisaroiden mukana pilven reunan ylitse.

The Rain

The troll stands in the rain. It looks at raindrops that are falling down the earth. It sees how each of them carries sunshine and spreads the glitters around when the drop hits the ground. The joy of spreading shine sprinkles the troll's toes and they start to waggle wildly.

Troll grabs one of the raindrops and pulls it hard. With its toes it touches another drop and steps on it. Step by step, grip by grip the troll climbs on falling raindrops up the raining cloud.

There is a lake on the cloud. The troll sits there by the water edge swaying its feet in the water with the raindrops that are waiting for their turn. The sun shines gently and the raindrops gather the sun's glow in their arms. The troll lifts raindrops from the lake and lays them at the edge of the cloud. There they stretch themselves out, get dressed with sunshine and jump down towards the earth. Part of the sun's glow loosens on the way down and creates an arc tinted in every shade of color like the troll's tail.

The troll lets its thoughts flow over the edge of the cloud with the raindrops. Langour and well being take over the troll so that it almost does not notice how it also melts into falling raindrops.

The trolldrops form trollbrooks that flow and are trollizing to a complete troll. The troll sits up and looks at how its toes slowly flow into their place. It shakes the pine tree next to it to get more drops and catches a squirrel that fell down because of the shaking. The troll wrings the squirrel dry and gives it a trollnut from its pocket. The squirrel rasps, grabs the trollnut and climbs back to the tree.

Troll blows its flute creating tones that sound like summer while it peacefully walks in the woods towards its cave. In its pocket is a small bowl, filled with sun gilded raindrops.

Kyyti

Vasemmalta korvalliselta nousee pystysuoraan valkea sulka. Silmien syvänruskeaa värikalvoa ympäröi virheetön valkuainen.

Aurinko on lämmittänyt auton kuumaksi.

The Ride

A woman asked for a ride on behalf of her friend and the man promised to offer one. He waits, feels anxious and likes to get on the road soon. He glances at his watch.

Sand makes scrunching sounds when a woman approaches the man and greets him with a smile. Confused, he answers the greeting, believing that the woman does not notice his embarrassment. The woman is beautiful and graceful, only half his age. Her hair is brown and short, brushed in a way that makes it look wind-blown, thus creating an impression of naturalness. Behind her left ear stands a white feather. Her eyes are deep brown in color surrounded by pure whiteness.

The car is burning hot because of the sun. The air conditioner hums and emits chilled air into the car. The man explores the woman with words, probing her with questions. The woman answers the man, says more than is asked, wanting to share her ideas and values. She allures the man to open up, too; tempts him to tell about himself, his life.

In the woman's words, the man faces a complete new world, a philosophy of life that is different from anything he has previously experienced. He wants to feel and understand it deeply. Their shared thoughts combine and create something new. The journey goes on.

Woman sits silently next to the driver. She looks ahead, follows the road flowing under the wheels. They are both silent. The scenery looks new, although seen many times before. For the first time in his life, the man obeys the speed limits because he wants to continue the silent togetherness as long as possible.

The journey ends. The woman gets out of the car. She peeks at the man and teases him with a smile. She knows without a doubt what the man has been thinking of during the journey. She raises her palm towards the man, makes a fist and opens it again, and closes and opens, and flashes the man out of her life.

After she left, the man continues the journey. He touches the warmth the woman's body left on the seat next to him. The memory of the woman's red toe nails winks in the legroom.

Valkeakuulas

– Kaunista.

– Kaunista. Todella kaunista, hän toteaa hymyillen.

Really Beautiful

– Beautiful. Really beautiful, says the woman examining her look in the mirror. She keeps on turning to see her body from all sides. – This is the best so far.

– Would you like to try this one yet? asks the salesperson inviting the woman to come closer. – This is a completely new model. We received it just this very morning.

The woman does as requested and goes to see the new model. Her bare feet sink in soft grass, and the warm glowing sun on the ceiling caresses woman's full nudity. The salesperson guides the woman to the front of the new mirror. She carefully examines herself in the mirror.

– This one is somehow exotically mythical and at the same time extremely western, says the woman after making a quick analysis of what she saw. – I like that glittering complexion, and the almond like eyes, but the body curves are probably too exaggerated for my taste.

Woman moves herself and examines the view in the mirror. Looking thoughtfully, she returns to the previous mirror and critically examines her body through it one more time. She takes another peek in the new mirror, but returns immediately to the one she liked best.

– This is far better, she says. – Can you adjust the skin color to make it a bit richer?

– Actually this light model is designed to have pale skin tone, says the salesperson. – Like this.

– No no no. I like deeper color. Right, that's better. Could you remove couple of years at the same time... That's perfect. I'll take it.

The salesperson praises the woman's good taste, takes the new appearance from the mirror and helps the woman to put it on. The woman strokes her new self and is obviously very pleased. Smoothness and elasticity of her new skin, and its new sensations make her feel fresh vitality.

– Beautiful. Really beautiful, she says smiling.

Loppu

Mies kulkee yksinäisyytensä keskellä pitkin kaupungin sivukujia. Vastaantulijat väistävät miehen katsetta ja kiiruhtavat askeleitaan palauttaakseen etäisyystasapainon itsensä ja miehen välille. Mies painaa katseensa maahan.

Sivukadulla on varasto, jota kohden mies suuntaa askeleensa. Hänellä on kassissa mukanaan sopivaksi katsomansa köysi, jota hän tunnustelee kuin ennakoivaa mielihyvää tuntien. Mies työntää varaston oven auki ja astuu peremmälle kaivaen jo köyttä valmiiksi esille. Mies hymyilee.

– Vartija! Täällä on taas yksi niitä.

Mies nousee koiraa rutistaen. Pyyhkii naamansa hihaansa ja menee matkoihinsa jalat tuskin maata koskettaen.

The End

A man walks in the middle of his loneliness on the back alleys at the outskirts of the town. Everyone avoids looking at the man but hurries to restore a comfortable distance between them. The man looks down. He is tired of his loneliness and determined to end it with a single act.

The man walks toward a storeroom building in a back alley. In his bag he carries a carefully selected piece of rope, occasionally caressing it and feeling the forthcoming pleasure of relief. He pushes the door open and enters the storeroom building and starts to pull the rope out of his bag. He smiles.

– Exit immediately, mister, snaps a worker standing behind the desk.

– But I would like a dog…

– And what would you, mister, do with a dog? Dogs are not delivered to every tramp, not even from a pet shelter like this. You might eat it, or skin it and make mittens from its skin. No. It is a definite no for you, mister. Go out now before I call the police.

– I thought it could be my friend… I already brought the rope for a leash, says the man digging his bag.

– Now, listen to this, mister. We cannot give dogs just to anybody. The dogs are not toys but living creatures. Our responsibility in here is to make sure that they get a decent home or die a worthy death.

– Could I just pat a little that small grey furry one…

– Just go out now, mister. Besides, it is just waste of time to tap that dog. It is finished as soon as the veterinarian arrives.

– I would like to have it...

– I asked you to leave, mister, says the worker tersely and shouts toward the back room – Guard! We have a problem in here, one of them again.

The man lowers his head and goes out without arguing. He sits down on a bench beside the wall of the building. He mourns the small furry dog that was not allowed to leave with him. Tears blur his vision and the figure of the approaching guard.

– Just go away now, says the guard severely. – And hide this.

The guard pushes the small grey furry dog to the man's arms. The man gets up hugging the dog. He wipes his face and walks away with his feet just barely touching the ground.

Siksi tarinan nimenä on "Loppu".

This story could be titled "Alone" instead of "The End". Or rather "The End of Loneliness".

Pieni koira saa napattua itselleen aarteen vasta tuotujen roskien seasta.

A Dog in a Barrel

A little dog runs under the parching heat trying to avoid peoples' kicking legs. With its tail between its legs, it sneaks around the streets, which are full of people. It is trying to grab a piece of food that has fallen from a hawker. However, the hawker kicks it hard on its ribs and it flees whimpering away. The little dog's stomach is squeezed against its backbone and screams for food, any food. The little dog stops briefly and licks water that drips on dry ground. It has time to lick only a couple of drops before it has to flee again.

At night, the little dog is looking for food from the waste people have discarded. It smells many delicious scents, but cannot reach the source of the scent. Litterbins are too heavy to turn over and their covers too difficult to open. A truck stops and a man comes out. He kicks the dog and then picks up the litterbin and empties it on the truck's platform.

The dog follows the scents and reaches the place where the truck left the trashes. It notices that there are many dogs rummaging through the same litter. It sees how poor urchins look through the same litter in competition with dogs, wanting to find the tidbits before them.

The small dog catches a tasty treasure amongst the newly brought rubbish. It bites its teeth hard into it and runs away from the reach of others. At the border between light and darkness, there is an empty barrel lying on its side. The dog slips in and begins to gnaw its treasure. With its stomach full, it goes to sleep and wakes up only when the barrel is surrounded by sobbing children. The small dog pricks up its ears. It tries to decide if it should flee or stay.

Maa

Se on maannut siinä pitkään, karikkeen peittämänä, muuttuen osaksi maata, tuntien maan kosketuksen koko peikkoudessaan.

Peikko painautuu liikkumattomuudessaan kuusen juuria vasten, tuntee niiden maasta nostaman elinvoiman virran. Kuunnellen samalla kuusen latvassa leikkivien tuulten ääniä.

Peikko puhuu äänettömin sanoin kuuselle. Kertoo näkemistään tarinoista, kuulemistaan lauluista, karhusta, ketusta ja pienestä sudesta. Kuusi kätkee peikon kertomukset nilaansa. Huminaksi vuosikasvuunsa, tuulisten päivien lauluksi.

Jonain päivänä peikko nousee liikkumattomuudestaan. Nojautuu kuusta vasten kertoen itselleen tarinat, joita tuuli on huminana kuljettanut puulta toiselle. Peikolta peikolle.

Alkuperäinen

Earth

It lies unmoving below an ancient spruce with beard moss, below the branches, on spruce's lumpy roots. It has lain there for a long time, hidden by detritus, turning to soil, feeling the touch of the land on its trollness.

The inert troll nestles against spruce's roots, feels the stream of vitality that the roots have raised below the ground. It draws impressions from the flow, letting it flow through its thinking, simultaneously, listening how the winds play in the spruce's top.

The troll speaks with silent words to the spruce. It tells about the stories it has seen, about the songs it has heard, about the bear, the fox and a little wolf. The spruce imbibes the stories in its phloem, as a windy day's song in its shoot.

One day the troll will rise from its immobility. It rests against the spruce, unfolding the stories that were carried by winds in form of hum from tree to tree, from troll to troll.

Vesi

Peikko auttaa. Järven koko olemus kirkastuu ja metsässä tuntuu puhtaan veden tuoksu. Järvi käy altaaseensa pitkäkseen, kääntää kylkeään ja kehrää tyytyväisenä.

Alkuperäinen

Water

The troll walks on the water and the snow grates under its feet. The lake giggles gently while the troll's feet tickles its back. It twists its back to get the most itching point under the troll's feet. Finally it stands up with the noise of breaking ice.

The troll hurries on its shoulder. The lake stretches itself and says hello to the troll after noticing it on its shoulder. The lake straightens its arm and the troll swims on nearly vertically standing water on the shore and starts to persuade the snow to come nearer.

The lake scrapes the snow up. It rubs itself and all its slimy stones with handfuls of snow. The troll helps. The quintessence of the lake becomes clear and in the forest the smell of clean water can be smelt. The lake lies down on its pool, turns around and purrs contentedly.

Ilma

Wind

The wind whistles in troll's ears while it seeks trollnuts walking with its seven-league boots. The troll becomes tired with the whistling and stops for a while to pat its ears.

The patting doesn't help but the whistling continues. The troll detaches its ears and beats them against its knee. The wind in the ears rolls out on the troll's knee. The troll grabs it with its black nails, raises it before its face staring strictly to its eyes. The wind makes a horn of its lips and utters a long and rejoicing whistling.

The troll feels a little like laughing and it starts to race-whistle with the wind. Then it pours all the whistling from its whistling-filled ears into heather where it winds like a hundred snakes. The troll engages the ears and continues on its way. The wind hangs on the troll's tail whistling joyfully.

Tuli

Pimeys nousee siivilleen luvaten palata. Peikko irvistää virnistyksen.

Fire

The darkness gets down into the forest. It folds its wings and knocks on the troll's door. The troll opens and asks the darkness to enter the cave.

They sit in silence until the darkness encourages and asks: "May I see it again?"

The troll consents and digs its pockets. There, covered by birch bark, deep in ash, in a sparkle, lives the fire. The troll pours the ashes on its palm, seeks the sparkle and blowing gently, offers it a piece of tinder. The fire reaches out of the sparkle, devours all the tinder and soughs for more.

The darkness nods. Noticing that the troll promises: "We'll build a bonfire". The fire leaps from the sparkle and escapes to the forest. From there it brings dry firewood to the bonfire and starts dancing on it. The darkness is charmed by fire's dance, inhales it and transforms a little out of existence.

The darkness gets on its wings and promises to be back. The troll grins a grimace.

Control Gear

A young automation engineer brags and promises to solve all customers' problems by placing a few control gears hither and thither, and by coupling a couple of loops to avoid overly electronic cavitations. The young engineer has just completed his final exams and is brimming with full confidence in his new job.

Engineer's feet buckle when he meets with his new female colleague, an economist, who has sold her customer promises of tomorrow with huge growth in cash flow. The woman meets all the requirements of what the engineer considers as an ideal woman. He performs a thorough in-depth analysis on her against his idea on womanhood and is unable to find any deviations over his predefined tolerances on it.

With his head half-confused, the engineer takes his place on his drawing board and starts to plan a solution for a customer's problem presented to him by the woman, the economist. In the engineer's thoughts, the woman's face and body springs up mixed with the customer's expectations.

The young woman, the economist, approaches the engineer in a hot tempered way. She looks at the engineer grimly and hits him hard on his face. The engineer is surprised at her reaction. He faces up to the circumstances and asks the woman her reason for the violent behavior.

- We installed the control gear with the customer. It was an immediate success. The process behaved like a dream. I, however, was forced to press the panic button and stop the contraption altogether.

- Why on earth? asks the young engineer with amazement.

- The control gear had an effect on me, too. It started to optimize my happiness. And I just began to feel too good in front of the customer. I had to stop the contraption at the last possible moment. Later, I would not have been able to stop it, let alone not want to stop it.

The young engineer browses the circuit diagram of the control gear he planned earlier. The young woman, the economist, looks at him from every wiring, behind every component and every module. Eventually, the engineer understands the ultimate connections in the wiring. He selects the right tool, bends his body over the diagram and removes the frivolous panic switch.

Vetoketju

Laiha keltainen koira tulee varoen liki miestä. Mies ojentaa koiralle loput makkarasta.

Mies on taantunut muistikuviinsa eikä reagoi mitenkään koiran poistumiseen. Nousee lopulta omatekoisesta suostaan, ryhdistäytyy ja lähtee tapaamaan elämänsä naista kokeillakseen saisiko sielunsa vetoketjun avattua.

Zipper

A man sits on a bench under a cold drizzle. He digs a piece of sausage from his bags and takes a bite. He leans backward without even trying to protect himself from the rain, which mixes with tears that quietly flows from his eyes.

A skinny yellow dog cautiously appears before the man. The man gives the rest of the sausage to the dog. The dog gulps the sausage and sits down next to him. He wipes his eyes and stretches out his hand toward the dog. The dog sniffs his hand but does not allow the man to touch itself.

- It was just a game of hide and seek. Just a comedy. Always did I play a role, says the man in a low voice to the dog. - Always. I was never able to tell her what I really wanted or what was important to me. Not even to myself. I kept on hiding behind my own thoughts.

The dog tilts its head interrogatorily and whisks its tail.

- Her smile truly touched my soul, the man continues. - I was afraid of that. I feared that I might reveal myself. And I did not want anybody to know, I did not want to get hurt.

The dog sniffs the man's bags and barks inquiringly. The man spins his head showing his empty hands to the dog.

- You know what, dog? says the man. - I think that she also hid from herself. She also played a role that she believed she should play. There we were, two incompetents of us playing in the same comedy, each one hiding from oneself and from each other. And neither even found oneself, not to mention the other one.

The dog raises its leg and pisses on the man's rain-soaked bags. The man has sunk to his memories and does not react to the dog's exit. Eventually he rises from his self-made depression, straightens up and leaves to meet the woman of his life. He wants to test if he can open the zipper of his soul.

Ranta

Suurten puiden lomassa on polku. Puut humisevat uteliaasti totutellen uuteen oloonsa. Kävyt kiljuvat riemusta peikon annettua niille huimaa kyytiä ja hieman peloteltua niitä.

Peikko istuu rannalle ja kaivaa varpaansa kallioon. Sen käsi koskettaa aaltojen tasoittamaa rantahiekkaa. Peikko tuntee hiekan lämmön ja kostean sileyden.

Rantahiekka nousee ja käy istumaan peikon viereen. Hetken ne antavat katseensa levätä samassa hetkessä. Rantahiekan pinnalta varisee pieniä hiekan jyväsiä jatkuvana virtana aiheuttaen hiljaisen jatkuvan kihinän.

Rantahiekka katsoo peikkoa ja kihinän rytmi muuttuu. Peikko kaivaa taskustaan huilun, josta peikon sormien hivellessä liukuu laineinen luritus. Rantahiekka ottaa muutaman tanssiaskeleen ojentautuen peikkoa kohden.

Peikko ja rantahiekka tanssivat pienten kvartsihiukkasten pilven kimallellessa niiden ympärillä. Varisevan hiekan kihinä laantuu hiekan asettautuessa rannalle jyvänen jyväseltä tanssin kuvaksi. Jyvänen rantahiekkaa jää lähelle peikon sydäntä.

The Beach

There is a path in the midst of the giant trees. The troll has wandered through the forest teasing trees and tossing cones around. For fun, it has switched and mixed the tops of the trees. The trees keep on humming while getting used to their new being. Although the cones are somewhat frightened of the troll, they yell joyfully at the vast speed of its hurl.

The troll sits down on the beach and pokes its toes into the bedrock. Its hand touches the sand that is smoothed by the waves. The troll feels the warmth and the moist velvet touch of the sand.

The sand gets on its feet and sits down beside the troll. For a while, their gazes rest at the same moment. Little grits are falling from the surface of the sand, creating a hushed continuous hissing voice.

The sand looks at the troll and the rhythm of the hissing voice changes. From its pocket, the troll digs a flute from which flows out wavy sounds and ditties. The sand pursues dancing and tenderly beckons the troll.

The troll and the sand are dancing amid a cloud of little glittery quartz crystals. The sound of falling grits fades away while the sand, grain by grain, takes its place and shape on the beach composing a picture of the dance. A granule of the sand remains near the heart of the troll.

Oksa

Jaloissaan sillä on koppuroiksi kovettuneet kiveräkärkiset pieksut. Partakin takkuinen ja ruokkoamaton.

Saunatonttu penkoo varastoa hakien jotain, jolla irrottaa kutina itsestään.

Siisteihin, joskin hiukan kosteisiin vaatteisiin pukeutunut puhdas saunatonttu istuu vanhan saunan portaalla puuroa pistellen. Se haroo suittua partaansa tuumien osaisiko vanha saunatonttu ruveta kotitontuksi. Tuumittuaan kyllikseen se vie taittamansa oksan sisälle senkin päällä olevaan vaasiin, suorii maton tupsut ja piiloutuu hellan takana olevaan rakoon tehden olonsa kotoisaksi.

The Sprig

There are rumors spreading that the old sauna which is used as a warehouse is kind of spooky. Things that are stored in there will never be the same anymore. The pair of shoes may miss the other shoe or they both may be left feet shoes. The tip of the skies may become topsy-turvy or the binding may get lose and lost. Even an iron bar may become knotted and all texts may appear to be written in some alien language.

The sauna gnome living in the old sauna is frustrated and so dirty that it itches all the time and everywhere. Its grey coat and miter are blackened with grime; filth has stiffened its trousers as rigid as plywood. On its foot it wears crooked tipped shoes that are hardened through. Even its beard is tangled and shaggy.

The sauna gnome rummages through the warehouse seeking for something to get rid of its itching. Nothing helps. The gnome groans and hurls things all around the warehouse swearing and flinging expletives and thus, creating increasing disorder.

The woman walks in, sees the walls darkened with soot and likes what she sees. Behind shambles, she sees the old sauna as a homely lodge, as a place in which she knows she will enjoy staying. Without hesitating, she takes all debris out of the room, sweeps up, and arranges her belongings the way she likes them to be. The old sauna oven is replaced with a little wood stove and a wall cloth hangs on a wall just above the old iron bedstead. A chest of drawers adorns the window wall.

In the evening, the woman heats water on the wood stove, pours it into a washbasin on the washstand, and leaves to fetch more water from the well. When she returns, she notices that the water in the washbasin has become very black. The woman smiles aloud and replaces the water with clean water. Before going to bed, she cooks a potful of porridge and leaves it to cool down on the edge of the stove. The handle of a wooden spoon sticks out below the lid of the pot.

A clean gnome wearing dirt free clothes that are still a little damp sits on the stone step of the old sauna and eats the porridge. It strokes its tidy beard and ponders if an old sauna gnome could become a home gnome. After deliberating over it thoroughly, the gnome plucks a sprig and takes it to a vase on the chest of drawers. Then it straightens all the carpet tassels and hides inside the hole behind the wood stove and makes itself cozy.

SusiSusi katsoo ikkunasta kahden jouluporsaan tanssia karhun tuvan ulkopuolella syvässä hangessa. "Karhu nukkuu" ja "Who is Afraid of Big Bad Wolf?"

Sutuus kuohuu vahvana pienen suden poikasen sisällä.

Susi katsoo uudelleen ikkunasta. Porsaat on paistettu kullanruskeiksi ja niiden yllä leijuu muheva tuoksupilvi. Toisella on suussaan punainen jouluomena, toisella vihreä. Pienemmän porsaan haitari on unohtunut aitan portaille. Se painuu hiljalleen kasaan, jolloin kuuluu matala viheltävä ääni. Punaisen vaatteen häivähdys katoaa taustan lumisateeseen.

Pieni suden poikanen nostaa päätään tuvan lattialla.

Oh My Wolf

WolfLittle wolf looks through the window. It sees two Christmas pigs dancing in the deep snow just outside the bear's house. The pigs are like dreams singing two songs at the same time: "The Sleeping Bear" and "Who is Afraid of Big Bad Wolf?" Both songs are chanting a common stanza: It is easy to be brave when there is nothing to fear. It is easy to brag when you know that the bear is sleeping and the wolf is still very young and little.

Little wolf knows that someday it will become big wolf. In fact, it is already a little bigger than last summer. After a year it will become very wolf. Little wolf feels how its inner true wolf is growing.

Little wolf glances again through the window. All of a sudden the pigs have been fried thoroughly and they now have nice amber colors. An imposing cloud of aroma is hanging over the air. One pig has a red Christmas apple in its mouth while the other pig has a green apple. The smaller pig had left its accordion on the step of the granary. The accordion is slowly compressing itself with a low whistling fainting sound. A flickering red cloth can be seen disappearing in the snowfall on the background.

Little wolf raises its head. It looks around and realizes that the night is still wandering around. Little wolf lowers its head between its paws and closes its eyes again.

O Aking Lobo

Tässä ainoa ero oli lause "It sees two Christmas pigs dancing in the deep snow just outside the bear's house", jonka Yahoo käänsi "Er sieht zwei Weihnachtsschweine, in den tiefen Schnee gerade außerhalb des bear' zu tanzen; s-Haus" ja Systran "Er sieht zwei Weihnachtsschweine, in den tiefen Schnee gerade außerhalb des Hauses des Bären zu tanzen."

Saksannokset olisivat todennäköisesti parempia, jos englanninkielinen teksti olisi kieliopillisesti kelvollinen. Sanovat viisaammat nasevasti:

"garbage in, garbage out."
